Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

God is amazing!!! Just so you know...hahaha!

So as you all know, I have been in need of supporters, whether that be monthly or just a once-every-couple-of-months type thing and, well, God has provided! I had the opportunity to talk to a lot of people last week and this week and since then, in total i have received all of the support i need for October (and i needed $600 for that) and as well as november (which i needed $400!)! Now, what is soo cool about this is that i have had money in the bank that i have been using to pay off my student loan $53 a month until i sell my truck and then i use the rest to pay off the loan completely all at once. Weeellllll, because my parents are moving, my dad got to thinking really didn't feel comfortable sellin my truck because it was a gift to me, and my family, from my Grandparents and so, he said he is basically gonna pay off the rest of my loan and i can use the money i had in the bank for my staff fee's! So i got to use the money i had been saving up, to go toward something that i truly love and am still working hard for and that feels so amazing! And then i got a couple of checks in the mail and total...well...it's basically paid off my staff fee's till about half way through december and it's amazing to see how God is providing!

So, besides that, God has been workin in me and really challenging me lately. We have been reading through the book of proverbs as a group and, well, it's a very "wise" book, to say the least. Every day i have been asking the Lord for more wisdom in my every day life, so that i don't waste my time doing pointless things, and so i can fulfill what God has called me out here to do. At church this past sunday our guest pastor talked about us being "salt" and "light". He used it in a way i had never thought of before, and this is what i got out of it. We all know Jesus calls us the "salt and light of the Earth". Now, what is salt? what are it's uses? it is a preservative. Now look at our world. It is decaying. and quite frankly, it is decaying rapidly. Why. because it's not being preserved. How can salt be affective if it is in it's own little pile and never leaves that pile and mixes in with the "meat"? It can't. I realized that i should not be focused on that glorious day when i finally get to leave this planet, or jesus returns and that whole schpiel, but i should be focused on mixing in with the meat. I should be concerned, heavily, on preserving our world. And so should every single person that calls themselves a christian. Yes, going to church is wonderful and is a great time of community. But if that is what you think being a christian is, you are terribly mistaken. We need to rise up as a church now, more than ever really, in our country to let them know that the church is not dead and it is not just some place where religious people gather once a week! The church should be a focal point in a city, a community of people that are known for helping the neighborhood out, and being kind to everyone and a place, when it is sunday, that it is fun to be at! Not as a negative place that is boring and rule-binding. So i challenge you to first read Matthew 25:31-36 where jesus talks about separating the Sheep from the Goats, and then think about what you are doing in your daily life that is impacting this world and preserving it for the Kingdom of God. Alright. My sermon is done. haha, that's just something to ponder on.

Well.....not much more going on...we continue to Prepare for DTS and we need more men to come so...if you are a man and you have creative art talent in any field, and have interest in YWAM or missions..or God...then please check out our website!! :) thanks!
